There is an ample amount of parking around the finish area on Ohio University campus. Just be sure to check the Ohio University lot signs when parking. Most parking lots are free and do not require a parking pass on the weekend. There are spaces around the Convocation Center and Peden Stadium. Once you park, it is an easy 5-10 minute walk uptown to the start location.

Start Location
Both the marathon and half-marathon races start together at the corner of South College Street and East Union Street in uptown Athens by Ohio University College Green. Both races will join the scenic Hockhocking Adena Bikeway just after the first mile.
Finish Location
The finish for the half-marathon is at Pruitt Field on Ohio University's campus. For those of you who have run the Half Marathon/Marathon in past years, you had to enter Pruitt Field and do one(1) full lap plus an additional third of a lap. In 2015, we changed the course and now you enter the same as in past years but once you reach the finish line you are finished! No additional lap. The extra distance has been made up by pushing back the starting line a block and adjusting the turnarounds on the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway.
Race Cut-Off
Race cut off is 6 hours; at this time a volunteer will ask if you want to be picked up. If not, you can continue on your own but without volunteer support and aid stations.
Spectator Locations
Spectators are awesome to have at a marathon to cheer for runners! Spectators are welcome along public streets at the start line in Uptown Athens. The finish at Pruitt Field, Ohio University Track will be the best location to watch your favorite runners finish the half or full marathon. More information about spectator locations, rules, and on-route locations can be found on the spectator page.
Timing System
Dynamic Bib assignment involves being assigned your bib at packet pickup. Computers will be available for volunteers to enter your name and assign your bib. Reminder, if you pick up for a friend or family member, make sure they know you picked up their bib!
Participant Tracking
The events will be timed by EnMotive! Features of Enmotive include: Bib assignment at packet pickup, text messaging, mobile and online results with leaderboard, athlete updates at timing points, & event photos. We encourage to sign up for text messaging (FREE) when you register.
